Using Twitter as another tool to collect names and emails for your ever expanding list is a great tool that can be used in conjunction with other tools and you can put the whole experience on autopilot.
I found a perfect site that gave me great advice in what is required to make the most of Twitter, it has 6 videos showing in detail what steps and required sites to join (most free).
A brief summary is -:
TweetLater, – allows you to automate your messages over a period of time. Free but you have to manually do it all, paid for a small fee per month you can bulk upload messages, great way.
Biy.ly (Shorten) when your url’s are too long this site will shorten them to a much smaller size, you only have 140 letters to use, so every bit counts.
Tweeter Karma – very handy program that allows you to check and decide if the people that follow you are really who you want on your Twitter listing. I use it to eliminate those that only follow a few people as they wont follow me I suspect.
Twollo – this is another site that allows you to find others of appropriate interests that you can add to your Twitter, it’s free but you then share a pool with heaps of others so may be limited in the amout of people you will get, but still if you need some extra followers then it can be handy.
Twellow – Another site that is useful to find out if they follow you as well. handy to know if you follow each other.
Using these sites will increase your standing and allow you to get more messages out into the populace and possibly increase your sales.
